The following instructions are written for clients of our Website Enhancement Service, but others who have a 5pillars Multimedia Personal Website ($200 version) may benefit from this information as well.
To make changes to your 5pillars Personal Website, log into MyNikken at www.mynikken.com, roll the mouse over "Business Tools", click "5Pillars PWS Admin", click "Edit My Site" and click "Edit This Site".
The website editor provides the options shown in the table below:

You can change the title of your website, edit the text in the body of your website, upload new pictures or edit your picture captions. More information is found below. |
| 4 | Edit Billing Information | Change this information if needed. |
| 5 | Personal Website Address | You may change your website address, if desired. Be sure to read the note about this below. |
| 6 | Generate My 5Pillars Website | This step is required to finalize your changes. |
Below are some additional instructions for changing certain items on your website.
EDITING THE TEXT OF YOUR WEB SITE
If we enhanced your website for you, we recommend that you let us make any needed changes to the text in the body of your enhanced website. We want you to be happy with what we have done for you and small corrections are free.
If you choose to edit the text of the body of your website, you must be careful. There are a lot of web page programming codes in the enhancements that we do. If you are not experienced in web page programming, please do not change web page programming codes that are enclosed in brackets "<>" without our assistance.
The text of the body of your website is found in two text boxes in the "Edit Text" section in the website editor. The best way to edit this text is to select the contents of one of the text boxes, and then "copy and paste" it into a separate text editing program. Then, save this text to a file on your computer, so you can always restore it if you make a mistake and need to put it back the way it was before. Make your changes and save it to a new file on your computer. Then, copy and paste the text back into the text box.
When you are finished editing the text, click "Save My Changes". Then, click "Generate My 5pillars Website" to update your live website.
EDITING YOUR PICTURES
You can upload pictures for your website. If they are too large, you can try a smaller version of the picture, or we can help you with this also.
We recommend that you let us make any needed changes to your picture captions, especially in the first 30 days. If you choose to edit your picture captions, please be careful. If you are not experienced in web page programming, please do not change web page programming codes that are enclosed in brackets "<>" without our assistance.
When you are finished uploading your picture or editing the caption, you must click "Preview Now" and then click "Save This Image" for your changes to be saved. Then, click "Generate My 5pillars Website" to update your live website.
EDITING YOUR PERSONAL STORY
In our standard website design, your personal story is located in the second text box of the "Edit Text" section in the website editor. Before changing this section, please read the "EDITING THE TEXT OF YOUR WEB SITE" section above. The location of your personal story will be found between the personal story beginning and ending markers, as in the example below:

CHANGING YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
There are three places where your email address needs to be changed in our standard website design. The first one is changed in the "Update Personal Information" section of the website editor.
The other two places where your email address needs to be changed are located in the first text box of the "Edit Text" section in the website editor. It is best if you let us make these changes for you. If you do want to make these changes, please read the "EDITING THE TEXT OF YOUR WEB SITE" section above, before changing this section. Carefully change ONLY the email address to your new email address in both locations in this text box.

CHANGING YOUR PHONE NUMBER
There are two places where your phone number needs to be changed in our standard website design. The first one is changed in the "Update Personal Information" section of the website editor.
The second is in the first text box of the "Edit Text" section in the website editor. It is best if you let us make this change for you. If you do want to make this change, please read the "EDITING THE TEXT OF YOUR WEB SITE" section above, before changing this section.
CHANGING YOUR WEB SITE ADDRESS
You can change your website address in the "Personal Website Address" section of the website editor.
PLEASE NOTE: that changing your website address will likely cause one or more links that we have placed on your website to no longer work. Please let us know if you change your website address, so we can correct this for you. Contact us at: rkotter@my5pillars.com
